The release in December of the song Dependency, that was co-written with Charlie Brown some time back. Newcomer Charlie Brown's new single Dependency will be released in December. Brown has been working on his music since 2002, with many respected artists in the business. His new album Dreamstate will be released in 2013. The track features street star Yungen and vocalist Ms D known for her part on Wiley’s recent No.1, Heatwave. ‘Dependency’ was produced by Mushtaq and co-written with David Sneddon (Lana Del Rey, Hurts) with a mix by the mighty Sticky. Brown is tipped as one to watch for in 2013. He combines melody-driven songs along with the attitude of rappers such as Plan B.
David has also co-written young American singer Greyson Chance’s new single ‘Sunshine and City Lights.’ Greyson released his new “Truth Be Told Part 1” EP in Asian which charted at number one iTunes chart. His new single “Sunshine and City Lights” is the result of a serendipitous last minute studio session in London with songwriting partnership The Nexus (Sneddon and Jay Mein). The track showcases Greyson’s voice and is free of the over-production that is often heard in the charts these days - www.youtube.com/Greyson97
Sneddon has also written songs with the London singing group Penny Arcade - ‘One Thousand Colours' and 'Walls.' Arcade Quartet had a dream start – they signed a recording deal after being spotted singing carols down their local last Christmas Eve. Mates since their days in a youth choir, the lads threw in covers of The Beatles and Paul Simon, impressing scouts from Mercury Records at the Uxbridge Arms pub in Notting Hill, London.
Sneddon is one of the most successful graduates from a reality tv program. He has worked with producer James Bauer-Mein since 2003 as "The Nexus" songwriting and music production partnership for high profile and highly-anticipated emerging artists in the US and the UK. They have built a strong reputation as songwriters in London and have written songs for artists such as Hurts, Morten Harket, Newton Faulkner, X Factor winner Matt Cardle and number one selling American singer Lana Del Rey.
