NEW Artists 2010/2011

Things Happening AT LONG LAST!!**
I follow several new Scottish artists on here and things seem to be happening at last  - 

Broken Records - In May the band completed their second album, Let Me Come Home recorded in GlasgowUK and Europe on the 25th of October, 2010. with producer Tony Doogan (Mogwai, Delgados, Belle & Sebastian,) and was released on 4AD in the http://www.myspace.com/brokenrecordsedinburgh

Emeli Sande - has a King Tuts gig November ( have a photo pass), she has a massive soul voice ( Nina Simone style) and is signed to Virgin. She has used my images for promotions. http://www.myspace.com/emelisande

Viking Galaxy - They have been writing and rehearsing: three of the band met at school. This makes them understand each other well and be in sync together. Three of the band are also studying music and composing at Glasgow uni, one studying maths ( my son), one studying music promotions (helpful). The band is Liam Hill (vocals) Mike Parkin (guitar) Ross Keightley( bass), Matthew Brown( keys) and the new drummer Andrew Scott.They did a recording of their rehearsal time Monday and posted 3 songs, and exciting to hear them. Pearl and the Puppets have an album early next year in February., Pearl has an engrossing voice - and she has also used my images. http://www.myspace.com/pearlandthepuppets

Hurts - eighties style duo with Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson. They perform songs with big melodies and epic grandeur. Their debut album is doing well and their UK and European tours are sold out. Theo has Hollywood good looks and the camera loves him! The artist I follow are about - No gimmicks, just simple honesty and love of what makes music work - great melodies and heart and real lyrics.

Other new artists I follow include - Admiral Fallow, Frightened Rabbit, Kirsty McGee, Rachel Sermanni - I've been following these artists the past few years. There is one other artist that I am waiting to hear about - I wonder who that could be (?) I've been following him for years now, and I know things are going well for him in the music industry with his writing work and several artists releasing his songs..... but the waiting isn't easy with no news. I am pleased that his talents that I've believed in for so long are finally being recognised. It's been far too long!...
