I am sad to hear of
the death of the highly respected Scottish father of "tartan noir" William McIlvanney. I had a ticket for
his event at the Edinburgh book festival this year which was cancelled. I took
this image at his Edinburgh book festival photo shoot in 2013, when he had a
conversation with Alex Salmond
MP. He is fondly and well remembered
and loved.
